About the artwork

This striking set of 1950s French dining chairs, possibly one-of-a-kind design, features clean architectural lines, hexagonal tapered legs, and sculptural backrests with oval cut-outs. Handcrafted in solid wood with a warm patina, these chairs embody timeless mid-century modern style and are reminiscent of the work of Jean Touret and Pierre Chapo. Their height makes them perfect as dining chairs, but they can also be used as occasional chairs.
